AAA - Sound Alchemy
AAA (Access All Areas) is a small collective that works at the intersection of music, art, therapy and spiritual practices. The project was born in 2022 from a desire to connect those fields with a cutting-edge approach, playing freely on their shared ground.
It experiments with contemporary music, frequencies and ancient sounds to create a mesmeric deep listening experience and uses them as therapeutic tools to enhance self-awareness. They include ritual, performance, holistic practices and creative therapy techniques to deepen the experiences.
The initial team formed around Vera, an artist with over two decades of experience creating musical journeys as a globally touring DJ. For a few years, she has been studying art, music and sound therapy, and brought AAA to life. Vera was joined by Jorhito, known for his subtle and distinct way of playing the gong. He’s a yoga teacher and continuous student of both sound and yoga, and offers regular classes in Berlin. The triad was completed by Nigâr, who is a classical pianist and a sound therapist specializing in tuning forks. She founded her own therapy practice and also works part-time in psychiatric rehabilitation in Berlin.
AAA is meant to be an open collective that other professionals can join in for various settings and occasions. So far they have elaborated two concepts.
The “Deep Listening Experience” is a practice of active listening to the present moment, encompassing not only the music and sounds, but also the surroundings, physical sensations and internal processes. It aims to create room for self-exploration, mental and emotional release, mindfulness and creativity. In combination with physical exercises, it is suitable for yoga and meditation studios, retreats and therapeutic settings, as well as for creative workshops and team building. An integral part of the experience involves sharing of the personal observations in a closing circle.
The second format, "Healing Freqs", has evolved as an alter ego to perform at music festivals, chill-out rooms, and ambient music events. Offering a restorative receiving space, this unique sonic ritual has piqued the curiosity of audiences at events like Waking Life (Portugal), Kune (Denmark), Garbicz (Poland), and Waha (Romania). Due to its performative nature, it is now spreading into art galleries and museums, while addressing the growing need for nurturing care, loving attention, and connection in an increasingly alienated world.
With a bottomless well of ideas, love and enthusiasm, AAA is constantly improving their existing formats or working on new ideas, and is able to offer tailor-made experiences based on their fields of expertises.
